I don’t know if it was the author or her editor, but whoever had the “brilliant” idea of embedding completely unnecessary sex “scenes” in this novel, in my opinion, destroyed it. Agatha Christie, whom someone actually compared with this author, had more class.
The Guest List should show an “adult content and explicit language” warning on the book cover. There is plenty of swearing, and about sex, I don’t know how much of it there is in the whole book, because after 55 pages I decided to throw it away, it was more than enough to realize they sold me a different book that i was looking for: I bought a crime/mystery novel and I was reading explicit sex vulgar content even before the actual action had started.
If you bought it, I recommend putting it away from children. This is an adults only book.
