This movie was better than the two sequels, but the entire premise was wrong. A poltergeist is not a haunting, it is not demons, spirits, or ghosts. It is psychic energy from the living, that results in objects moving. Also, how did the little girl survive for weeks in that other dimension, without food or water? The sequels were totally unrealistic even in a paranormal sense, and almost cartoonish in comparison! Another interesting question is when Carol Anne was getting sucked into the wormhole, the draws weren't getting pulled out of the shelves! The gravity from that portal was pulling literally everything heavier toward it, yet the draws didn't budge LMAO. The tree eating Robbie was the only stupid scene that didn't really fit in. I would have bolted as soon as the branches started moving and not just sit there lol. I'm shocked California actually got a thunderstorm though! Very good movie overall however, made the "most" sense out of the three.
