I absolutely loved the first Avatar, with the exception of so much emphasis on military and human greed. This movie was simply an extended version of the same story line, only in water. I wanted to love it but I was thoroughly disappointed. It was long with many beautiful moments but simply repeated many of the old story lines and was so predictable. It made me angry that movies continually promote the same old historical dogma and warfare. Are we really so lost as a species that we cannot learn and enjoy special effects without war, brutality, greed? Then to leave the cliffhanger basically setting the stage for rinse and repeat. I am usually an optimistic person who believes in focusing on the positive in whatever the circumstance. I simply cannot endorse this movie as it was brutal to watch. Like so many others said, the story had way too many predictable plots and not enough character building and congruency. It was a huge disappointment for me and unless things change I will not look for the sequel.

This movie is beautiful in every way. The director is sincere in his approach. The visuals are mesmerizing and even more than that it is educational. It shows how connected all of life is and don’t underestimate another life form just because it looks different and we don’t understand it. I highly recommend. Your life view will be altered.

I was happy to see they made this movie. It speaks of an issue many are afraid and/or hesitant to speak about. How anything other than rigidly controlled thinking and behavior is seen as mental illness. How people are shunned at best and labeled broken members of society, when perhaps it's society that has been broken and needs mending. When we judge a person as bad and/or dangerous without actually listening to them and trying to understand we perpetuate the abuse whether we are personally involved or personally Not involved. No one has the right to tell another that what they are experiencing they are not really experiencing. When we invalidate anothers' experience we invalidate the person. Just because we do not understand something does not mean it doesn't exist and/or deserve to exist. I am not anti-Doctors or western medicine, yet to label a person to never be well simply because we don't have the answers is ignorance at best and arrogance beyond comprehension. There is more we don't know than we do know. Until we can acknowledge that and allow the mystery we will tend toward history, which is a violent past. Thank you for making this movie and bringing light to the darkness of our Collective Soul.

This show highlights the fact we are part of this amazing planet we live on and what we do matters. It makes it relevant to everyone. Will Smith is the perfect host and the astronauts all give a truly heartfelt sharing that is undeniable in it's authenticity. Beautifully filmed and explained in such a way I feel it will have a real impact on our understanding of our impact as humans.
