My favourite tv detective show of all time: inventive, funny, annoying, poignant, lighthearted but ultimately emotionally satisfying. The characters and acting are wonderfully engaging, especially Tony Shalhoub and the amazing Ted Levine. I have watched all 8 series twice now and it was like sinking into a warm bath every time I put on a new episode. Just relax and soak up sublimely enjoyable television!
