Had high expectations for this film as some of my favourite movies of all time like divergent and the maze runner are of this style. To be fair i can’t say this film is on the same level as those but its a damn good try, you can obviously tell it feels more modernised which i don’t mind but i don’t know if i’m a massive fan although i can understand wanting to appeal to all ages including people younger than me. The film is based of a book so it goes without saying the storyline is great and the actors really depend person to person. Some people hate the female lead in the movie because they find her annoying but honestly she really isn’t that annoying, hopefully we start seeing more dystopian style films like this in future.
