as someone who was an awkward tween relatively recently, this movie spoke to me. so refreshing to see periods portrayed as just a normal, if awkward and stressful, part of growing up. and p.s. for the karens there was NOTHING sexual about the portrayal of mei’s first crush. like come on did you ever go through puberty lmao
