my 1 star review is a lie. this film is actually a masterpiece. genuinely among the best pieces of art to come out of the global quarantine. I cannot recommend this enough.

Blade II is a rare, great, and highly underrated sequel that managed to surpass its predecessor. It offers more of what worked in the original. It has a bigger, better, and thicker plot than the original. It has far better visual effects than the original. It has a better main villain than the original. Jared Nomak is a big step-up to Deacon Frost. Luke Goss did an amazing job playing the supervillain Nomak. He was an interesting and and somewhat frightening supervillain. Blade II is much more of a thriller movie than Blade ever was. Blade was really just an action/fantasy film and Blade II is an action/fantasy/thriller film. Blade II has some good, surprising twists. Some parts of Blade II are so dark and unsettling that it feels kind of like a horror film. The action in this sequel is wildly fun, entertaining, satisfying, impressive, outstanding, and mind blowing. The action scenes are an improvement over the first film and there is a whole lot of great and fun action scenes in Blade II and even more so than the previous Blade film. The acting from the whole cast is great, especially from Wesley Snipes, Kris Kristofferson, Ron Perlman, Leonor Varela, and Luke Goss. I honestly don’t understand why inferior Marvel movies like Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ant-Man, Captain America: Civil War, Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Thor: Ragnarok, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man: Far From Home, The Amazing Spider-Man, X-Men, X2: X-Men United, X-Men: First Class, X-Men: Apocalypse, Blade, and other inferior comic book movies like Batman Returns, Constantine, V for Vendetta, and Man of Steel are all rated higher than Blade II on IMDb. Blade II is way better than all of those movies and a lot of them are overrated (Iron Man 2, Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ant-Man, Captain America: Civil War, Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Thor: Ragnarok, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame, X-Men: Apocalypse, Man of Steel, Constantine, V for Vendetta) and too kid-friendly (Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ant-Man, Captain America: Civil War, Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Thor: Ragnarok, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame) and some of them are just trash (Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Thor: Ragnarok, Captain Marvel, X-Men: Apocalypse, Constantine).
