This show introduced me to the near-perfection that is John Ritter's comedic sense, especially physically.
Showcasing an abundance of innuendos and situational comedy as well, its something I still truly enjoy whenever I can see it, making me miss John Ritter to this day.
Additional kudos to Joyce DeWitt for excellence playing a clever and ever so witty roommate Janet, Richard Kline for playing a hilarious yet harmless womanizer Larry, and people may balk but I actually liked Don Knotts playing Ralph Furley as their landlord better than the Ropers.
While socially dated and no longer politically correct across the board, the character Jack embraced the facade that kept him there and really only the landlord (who you're meant to root against) had anything bad to say about his perception of Jack's persona, while simultaneously being adamant that "you people have rights too!". Jack was also protective when needed and defended his friends honor (even punching a guy who said something offensive to his friend and roommate), celebrated events in his friends lives, but perhaps most delightfully was very charming warmth he had and obviously wonderful yet platonic chemistry he had with his friends, especially Janet and Larry.
I literally watched an episode earlier tonight, something in season 2, but just like when I was a child, still laughing so hard at certain parts.
This show is gold.
