The Karate Kid (2010) is a unnecessary reboot of The Karate Kid (1984). Honestly I don't remember the names of the character or any lines from the movie except pick up your coat. It features Jayden Smith and Jackie Chan.
In the original movie you had Mr.Miyagi who taught Karate, hence Karate Kid. In the reboot it's Kung Fu. Whoever Jackie Chan plays as a maintenance man steps in to teach whoever Jayden Smith plays as Kung Fu when he is beaten up by bullies.
Jackie Chan is a decent Actor and Jayden Smith lives in his father's shadow and I don't know of any decent movie Jayden has been in other than Pursuit of Happiness. But the chemistry between Jayden Smith and Jackie Chan was almost non-existent. Which made this a sore to watch.
But the training montage on the Great Wall, the scene where jackie chan launches a toothpaste cap at Jayden when he was fixing the shower. Of course the fight at the end was pretty decent but overall it's just a unnecessary reboot.
If you are looking for continuation after karate Kid 4 aka The Next Karate Kid head on over to Netflix and watch Cobra Kai.
