When I saw the show advertised and ignored it because the trailer underwhelmed me, then I watched it and was completely blown away by its informative, relatable and honest nature. I loved that it spoke on a range of issues and explained the meaning behind it all. It tied in nicely to relevant events like taking the knee and what it all means - I wish they could've explained it a little more as I know I've been influenced by the idea that its offensive, or "political" matters should be left out of sports: but I think it nicely clarified that racism is an everyday societal issue that is too common to ignore - not just a political one.
I've honestly learnt a lot and the series really spoke to me while also getting me thinking about things I've never even considered before (e.g why white americans are economically, societally and politically treated anymore american than their black counterparts - like black people have to prove something they fought for). Point is I recommend watching it, its honestly a riveting watch for anyone :)
