I gave it two stars because part 1 was really fun to watch. After part 1 the show kept going down hill. The plot stopped making much sense. The characters' political views started swinging between left and right (I'm not trying to suggest which side is better).
Maggie's character is especially strange. How did she stay married with Beau, a stubborn right-wing patriarch, for 40 years and raised two sons together when she disagrees with him on so many issues? And as a female business owner who loved hunting, she just realized she's an anti-gun, socialist lesbian in her 60s?
Another part was Heather's pregnancy. Shortly after she decided to not go through with the abortion, it seemed the producers realized her having a baby with Colt (who by the way was ready to "take responsibility") will get in the way of Colt and Abby's relationship. So somehow the baby "survived" the abortion just to get "killed" anyways through a miscarriage. I'm not trying to argue against abortion here, but just how convenient things turned out for Abby's character?
