I'll write a better story for you, supermassive games:
5 actual people (not brain damage hallucinations) murdered a little girl during the witch trials for accusing their mother and father of witchcraft. Thus, they are cursed to repeat the same thing over and over until they realize the mistakes of their past lives and take measures to fix said mistakes.
For the supernatural aspects, the little girl they murdered was just coerced by the priest, but, the kids of the mother and father who were accused of witchcraft were also coerced by the priest so they kill the little girl. The soul of the little girl was really the sacrifice to bring upon hell on earth. But unfortunately, the priest's ritual is always interrupted in some way, so the devil damned their souls into repeating the ritual of murder until hell is upon us.
What I'm trying to say is, the game does not make sense. I mean... What is actually happening in the sequences where the group is divided? If it's all in his head? Who did Andrew shoot, when he shot Angela? You could at least bring the priest into play. Did the soul of his entire family go into Anthony when he ran into the fire? Is this a multiple personality situation?
