It is said that empathy is a learned trait. Dan in October taught me more empathy in almost two hours than I learnt from most people. Varun's mastery of microexpressions was heart touching most of the time, and earth shattering in some particular scenes of the movie. I was quietly sobbing throughout almost 70% of the whole movie, which says a lot because I rarely, if ever, cry that many tears watching a movie. Dan's character slowly but surely changes, all the while remaining the same. I won't spoil any of it for you. If you feel like learning something about yourself and human beings in general, I do recommend this movie. And keep an eye on the microexpressions, you will be truly fascinated.
