What a wonderful movie! It's so nice to see Disney extending the lives of their characters to more than simply a 'happy ending' - life isn't - which ties perfectly back in with the overarching message of the movie - be careful what you wish for!
Casting and acting were stunning, visuals were amazing, music was fabulous! It may have been long, but it honestly felt like it needed to be in order to illustrate the importance of the message.
I love that they hinted to the arrival of the second giant when the last bean was thrown onto the ground; not to mention that detail about Rapunzel's hair - the witch had already touched it. The scene between the Prince and the baker's wife may have been confronting, but it was definitely necessary in the big picture (haha).
While the movie was long, I do not believe it was 'too' long. The length allowed for proper plot progression and character development that made for a satisfyingly open ending. It makes for a much more complex and realistic message than 'if you wish hard enough, it will happen', which is a nice change. But, each to their own.
I loved it, and would recommend it to others!
