personally, it wasn't my cup of tea. I bought it because I heard so many good things about it and really looked forward to it, but when I started reading it it felt like I was thrown in a world that was half done, I imagined it as sketches and not fully done art.
The atmosphere wasn't set right, the main character didn't get her chance to make me want to be on the journey with her, I felt like I was dragged around by her.
the pacing of the book itself was painful, somehow days would go by, but then a scene would stretch for so long, and I found it hard to find point in some dialogues or even scenes, so it felt like the writer didn't really have a plan for the middle of the book but somehow just wanted to move the plot along and keep the pages long.
Everything blended together from the beginning to like midway of the book. but I did find the whole concept of the actual Cinderella and the prince really interesting but It didn't reach the expectations I had for it.
Maybe part of the blame is my own expectations, I set them wayyy to high up, I expected something far more darker and painful and heart wrenching, I was looking for an amazing atmosphere, the world thats well built and bigger than what was given, so set this book up for failure for me.
And one of the sad parts is that there is no good side characters or supporting characters that have much relevance to the story, it feels like they're all there for convenience, which is why it made everything feel so tight and small.
The plot twist by the middle end of the book was really interesting, and things only started to become really enjoyable for me by near end of the book, but then it was still too quick so it just felt like a splash cold water then nothing else, then from then it went to being blend.
I finished reading this in like one week during the time of uni where I was bombarded with assignment just for the fact that I wanted to return it immediately since I didn't think It was going to get betterðŸ˜
