I felt it was obvious and shallow in that violence and gore were veiled in historically themed myths. The violence from Hades as well as his almost constant presence as well as the punishment, and annihilation, (purging more like it,) of mere humans who rebelled against the gods was repetitious and overtly gory. This element of the film was a major theme but did not add quality to the movie. The story was limited thereby making it a relatively weak story, so I would not recommend it for anyone who is young or who enjoys an excellent film experience.

I enjoyed it emmensely precisely because it reminded me of fun, slap stick murder movies of a time when they were written to be fun and entertaining; not so serious and depressing. I think it deserves at least a 78%!
