I thought this would be one of those films that got review bombed because Snyder fans were on here giving it 5 stars, and then people take it on themselves to "correct" the rating by giving it 1 star, when in reality it's probably somewhere in the middle right? I mean, surely a film with 80 million dollars to play with, directed by someone who is paid to make films people will enjoy can't actually be 1 star. This actually is a one star film though. I never thought a film that was shot in focus, with professional actors that know their lines, and special effects that mostly work could be this bad. But he did it, Snyder managed to make something with a story so simultaneously fanciful, yet bereft of substance anyone with a cursory knowledge of science fiction, cinema, plot, logic, reason, and generally how stuff works will be annoyed or just straight up angry at watching this. How did this happen, how did we get here as a culture? People actually got paid to make this abomination. It's a shocking study on how far art and entertainment has fallen in a world dominated by mega studios, streaming, and reality tv. You kind of have to watch it to truly understand how bad it is, but do yourself a favour I didn't... Remind yourself you don't have to watch the whole thing.
