This book is amazing! I love how African the novel is and how the writer used a very African voice for the first-person narration. Jolly is a compelling and multi-layered narrator and all the characters are unforgettable. The story is engrossing, it made me feel different things and it is so thought-provoking. The novel explores relevant and important issues, especially in contemporary Africa. I love the fact that the story is bold to tackle sensitive issues about African men and some of their struggles that are ignored due to stereotypes in our society. It has a beautiful love story at its core with deeper meanings. This book is highly recommended and I would read this again and again because I can't get enough of the story! Rigwell Addison Asiedu is a fascinating storyteller and he is a gift to the literary world. I look forward to reading his other works.
