I get what the show was trying to do. I think it was way too scripted and that some of the main characters were trying way to hard to build their brands. The irony is that the only authentic characters in the show were Aron, Ben, and the ex husband. In my opinion it also seemed like the main character, Julia Hart, was hypocritical and disingenuous. I do believe that there are many ways to be a Jew and one should never judge another for the way they practice their Judaism. But part of the premise of this show was Julia leaving her community and than being judged for her actions etc. All of that for her to than judge and criticize others and the ways they practice their Judaism. The show had a few moments but overall it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. I had to watch it through to make sure I wasn't missing anything. But I do not recommend.
