Very very thought provoking. Roger Ebert missed the point. The parents so extremely psychologically abused the children, so terribly unwittingly, that I felt little frank would grow up to be a rapist and Walt to be as lost as his father. I disliked it at first due to all the swearing But watched it again, knowing I missed something about the squid and the whale.
