Cloud Atlas is a masterpiece for those interested in life, morals, and what it means to be human. It is the intertwining of multiple protagonists from different times and very, very separate lives. If you're interested in emotional rollercoasters and finding yourself as a small speck in the grand universe, then this is the movie for you. For me, it belongs with titles like Benjamin Button, Bicentennial Man, and Doctor Who specials. If you're interested in anime or manga, you may even look towards CLAMP's Tsubasa Chronicles.
