Within about 10 minutes of aimlessly scrolling through anonymous reviews, I've found so so many of them comparing Simmba to Zero, which, for those of you who don't know, released and undoubtedly failed to impress critics and most viewers.
Although I've not watched Simmba yet, I can assure you, these two movies are very different from one another. Zero was meant for an audience who kept all kind of logic aside and watched the movie purely for the magic of it. I've come to know that most of us don't fit into that category. Zero also had a variety of versatile characters, who flaunt their imperfections perfectly. Simmba on the other hand shows why these imperfect characters are the way they are.
Simmba tackles a very prominent social issue that has been shown in bold letters in local newspapers more often than we'd prefer. It shows what it actually takes for a person's perspective to change. I look forward to watching Simmba like most of you reading this.
P.S: Why is it that Ranveer and Shah Rukh are always at each other's throats when it comes to sharing the box-office? We can probably expect another tweet from Shah Rukh Khan then!
