Sorry, but although the acting was excellent, I can't help but feel I've wasted 6 hours of my life. It started well, full of intrigue and almost gothic mystery, but then faded into 5 episodes of nothing. I don't think I'm stupid but I haven't got a clue what was going and, sadly, I don't really care. Given the rather odd ending there are plans afoot for a second series, I wouldn't bother

Can't understand why a classic story is changed in such inappropriate ways. Pip is way too old, the idea that he was at school and some sort of genius is crazy. The menace of Dickens' tale of s just not there.

Used to enjoy the show but it's become so dumbed down it's become a mockery of what it was. Presenters trying to be comical and failing, so called experts who don't know a genuine antique from a hole in the ground and contestants who are clearly on the show only because they want to be on tv. Finally is Kate Bliss the most patronising women on tv

6 hours of my life I'll never get back. Started slowly and went steadily downhill. Clearly anticipating a second series, but please no. Can't imagine why an actress of Keeley Hawes ability got involved.
