I seriously donโt get the negative reviews. Everyone is entitled to their option but honestly I enjoyed it. This was my favorite Disney movie growing up, so I feel like I would be the first to nip pick things considering my goal when I was five was to grow up to be a mermaid. I watched it so much when I was little I can still recite pretty much the entire movie. Now I may be biased because my daughter was born the year Moana came out so the fact that Auliโi Cravalho was playing Ariel tugged on my heart strings. I thought she was great, I couldnโt sing being pulled around a stage and pretending to swim thatโs for sure... I mean I canโt carry a tune to save my life but still... Shaggy not having claws, eh I didnโt really care. I was surprised that they used so much of the movie and not more of the actors well.. acting.. but thatโs only because I enjoyed them all so much. I would have like to have seen Shaggy and John Stamos together for les poissons, I feel they missed an opportunity to be more humorous for that number, but I still enjoyed John Stamos, Prince Albert mix up and all. My daughter, now about to turn three loves it, waves and says โhi Arielโ every time she comes into the picture.. and weโll as a mom, I guess thatโs enough for me! Great job Disney, thank you for making me tear up 30 years later watching this with my little girl!
