I did not want to watch this miniseries b/c I felt so many emotions that were uncomfortable and difficult to process, but I was so captivated and drawn in, I had to know more, I had to know how it would all end. The actors were incredible and their chemistry was on fire. The story line was real, raw, beautiful and heartbreaking. I read some reviews that questioned the authenticity of the characters behavior and it’s a hard truth, but people do behave in real life the way these 2 characters behaved….people can be selfish and wreck less with other peoples hearts and the pain each character feels is palpable. To watch the show through the lens of art- it’s amazing what these actors achieved revealing their complicated love story. 5 scenes of practically 2 characters was stripped down to almost 1 setting and this may sound like a set up for a rather boring show, but magic ensued due to sheer talent of the actors, screenplay, cinematography and music.
