Absolutely terrible adaptation compared to the 1990 film. The Witches are overly sinister, the Norwegian backstory is removed, and the CGI for the mice is even worse than 1990!

Ham-fisted attempts at metaphor (the dead plants, the protagonist haloed), stunt casting that didn't work, and a goofy ending where the police wait for the exact right moment at a wedding to arrest the groom for suspicious of murder. Silly.
