This is my favorite version of the bible, the study bible is absolutely amazing because it gives you so much information to truly understand the context of the passages. The way it is written is in proper english and it makes it very easy to understand. If english is your first language you'd find reading this version aligns perfectly with how we are taught to read in elementary school. This version uses words that are fully comprehendible. I usually read this bible side by side with my King James Bible to get another point of view on the tone. It is not a red letter bible, but it's okay because the grammar is really good and the use of quotations helps the reader to follow along while understanding who is speaking. All of the notes are informative and very clear. I always find myself empowered by the notes in this bible. I really admire how many denominations came together to agree on how to translate this version as well as how many language guides, essay's and charts there are. It is evident that this bible was written by many people who went to seminary and are excellent at teaching. I want to keep this version of the bible in my family for as long as I can. It is excellent for youth nights, family nights, & women's group studies. Whenever I have a question this is my first reference I go to because I know it will either clarify confusion or give me a good foundation to find an answer elsewhere
