Really enjoyed, I wish I had watched sooner. Faithful representation of one of my favorite comics growing up. The actors were cast perfectly, and delivered performances true to the characters. As a long time reader of comics, I was totally satisfied. The whole point of New Mutants was that they aren't the X-Men, they're kids with emerging powers, which is terrifying. They struggle, they make mistakes, they lose - I think they got the tone exactly right. Watched with my teen kids, who really enjoyed it as well. The chemistry between Williams and Hunt was great, and an unexpected bonus to an otherwise excellent film. I'm surprised by the poor reviews. As a 30+ year fan of this book, they did it right.
