Here was an opportunity to provide an unbiased account of the recent political history of Brazil, but unfortunately it is very one-sided. The story portrays the classic rich vs poor theme, abuse of power, corruption and injustice to 'victims' of the system. However it shamelessly fails to highlight so many facts that has led to PT's downfall and therefore their leaders. It's not a coincidence that so much corruption occurred during the 16 years that PT was in power; this party and many politicians were the root to the scheme. PT, Lula, Dilma all failed to invest more and really improve on important aspects of a developing country e.g. education, health, security. Instead, once in power, they not only turned blind-eyed to corruption but basically sponsored it - one example: during PT's government Brazil was selected and hosted the FIFA World Cup & Olympics, events that basically served to boost their popularity/political campaign, provide a platform for a lot of money laundering, and misuse public funds. They used the corrupted construction companies, allowed/approved them to overprice all of the constructions of the new stadiums, airports, infrastructure, etc.. because they were getting huge payments (millions and millions) from them. So it's not a surprise when the country discovers this to say enough is enough. Enough with corrupt people (whatever party they represent), enough with the lies, enough with the lack of responsibility, enough of PT, etc. Despite Lula (the embodiment of PT) saying he is a victim, he is a criminal for allowing/not addressing/sponsoring the known corruption. How can he explain the huge apartment gifted to him? Oh yeah "it was a gift, it's not owned by me" - as if we don't know this was the form of payment for some action/lack of action.
Truly sad to see people will be misled by this "documentary". Poor 'journalism'. Political propaganda...
