This film certainly won’t be for everyone. There is no big reveal - nor massive revelation you are anticipating. It is simply the darkest depths of the human psyche - a deep journey into schizophrenia. In saying that, it does this exceptionally well.

This movie is by no means a bad film. I believe it was largely panned due to its dark tone and lack of happy moments that seemed to be all throughout the second film ‘Aliens’. It’s a more realistic take on how things would pan out with an extraterritorial being of that magnitude wreaking havoc on humanity. The musical score is great, and the visuals effects are good too. Was Ripley going to somehow pull a rabbit out of a hat and survive another life threatening scenario with the perfect specimens? Mathematical probability says no. Good film.
