Can we just avoid the debate surrounding the script of the movie, and focus on the acting, screenplay, direction, dialogues and everything that does into making a movie?
From the get go, everything about this movie is haphazard and below average. The screenplay feels like it's cut between scenes, nothing is convincing and the forceful jokes fall flat (if not create moments of cringe / annoyance).
The actors are the only saving grace, where everyone has done a great job. Although, Rashmika's dialogue delivery is horrible and should consider voice training in Hindi. The direction and screenplay is a major disappointment. Nothing about the movie evokes any emotion - neither for the father, Ranbir Kapoor nor the villains.
Maybe a one time watch, solely for the hype. But in true sense, it is definitely avoidable.
