I think it's a rare thing that an album can be both nostalgic and ambitious and with such solid riffs all at once -- I've noticed you hardly ever hear the singles now even on the 90's dedicated stations, yet they're totally punchy rock tracks through and through. In particular, 'If you tolerate this' is full of the band's cool, politically-savvy ideas -- which was like gold considering Tony Blair was in the middle of telling us everything would be alright and there'd never again be any class struggle.
