Truly a heartbreaking event. I loved this film and the soundtrack is haunting.

Having great actors doesn't fix a lousy script.

I can't stand any TV network shows. The writing is terrible and uninspiring, the acting is dry, and I hate having cultural "issues" of the day shoved down my throat. So, I stream EVERYTHING now....no commercials! I will probably 'cut the cable' soon altogether. And I loved Longmire, Bonfire of Destiny, just about any period piece and Virgin River was a breath of fresh air. Can't wait for season 2. Come on!

This is a great piece of work by Costner and Harrelson. This tale is told from the lawmen's side which was barely touched in the original and a very bad remake of that one (TV movie, I think). This movie took me to a place and time I'm glad I didn't experience but loved the voyeurism. Oh, loved the scene where Costner buys all the guns and ammo. He knows what he will need to take on the Barrow gang.
