The good reviews this film received must be because the director was still the “golden child” from her Lady Bird success. The movie was the worst rendition of Little Women ever. It was not presented sequentially so the movie didn’t make any sense unless you already knew the story and even if you did it seemed completely senseless to do so. Very disjointed. Poorly cast as well. The characters have no substance to them which is definitely not how LMA wrote them. I actually stopped the film halfway through and didn’t finish.

Dull, lifeless, slow moving movie.

Cute movie that is fast paced. Although there is way too much gratuitous cussing unfortunately.
