I wanted to like the movie. Did find a laugh or two. Ultimately, I wouldn't recommend anyone invest their precious life in to this film.
Naturally this would be the satirical representation of climate change manufactured by Hollywood. This is precisely how scientifically unread entertainers have been conditioned to comprehend climate change. As a singular issue barreling toward Earth and we're all doomed unless we follow the tenants prescribed by these people over here who I seem to align with ideologically and by whose good graces I remain in favor and well funded.
Climate change would be far easier to deal with if it were a meteor. At least the problem could be identifiable. Climate change is 10,000 problems, or more, and we have no way of reasonably prioritizing those issues especially since mitigating some issues have catastrophic impacts on others. Anyone who believes this can be fixed through collective government action has spent zero time in their lives attempting to solve any problem with collective government action.
Climate change maps precisely to the three pillars of depression clinically. This movie doesn't let down in that regard. In the end everyone dies and you're just left......well......depressed.
