It is not a cinema for all, but it is undoubtedly best of the decade. Why is Aftersun so special? It is a weirdly undramatic movie filled with subtle emotions. A debut film from a director in such a class is hard to imagine and the characters rule the screen, flawless and spontaneous. After In the Mood For Love, this movie stands atop in the cinematography skills. Pensive and impactful.

Still not over this Pensive afterthoughts. Many may not grasp the emotion as this cinema is not meant for all, but a artwork worth watching.

NO SPOILERS. With ratings comparatively poor, i was sceptical whether to give this movie a go. I am glad i did. But here's the thing, this movie isn't for light watchers. It has some really twisted plot and "blink-and-miss" details. Very carefully and tactically made, this film should be a go-to for psychological thriller lovers. While i felt they dragged the movie too long to set up the context and then suddenly the climax went like a roller coaster, it left little room for viewers to grasp and many to leave halfway. Florence and Chris Pine were phenomenal i feel. This movie might need a second watch to catch on all the missed details of the first half of the movie. Pay key attention to details like, Plane flying and the toy plane of margret's kids, The dance order and the symmetry with Iris of eyes, the broken dance of jack, the violet dresses of violet, the strong orator skill of chris pine character, the mirror scene, the bath tub reflection, the spirals, etc.
