It is an often used premise of the ruined house which needs repair - a metaphor for the broken father son relationship - in breathtaking Tuscany, which could have been very cheesy. But with the restoration of the house comes the restoration of the relationship and some romantic twists along the way. The script is good and so is the acting which lifts the predictable plot out of banality.
