there’s not enough depth to the storyline…! we can obviously see the similarity of SHK’s acting in the drama and Encounter, nothing new. the chemistry between the leads feels almost nonexistent. male lead was also lackluster. we see the cast decked out in designer clothes and lush environments… but nothing else. They are all just standing there Pretty. The 19+ rating was bait and the plot is flimsy. i have been waiting for SHK’s comeback for ages and am quite disappointed. I wouldn’t say I would continue watching but I hope this show will pick itself back up.

when I first started this anime, i was genuinely bored, but i was proven wrong almost immediately! the show was very emotional and tear-jerking, with amazing visuals to top it all off. every arc and episode left a deep impression on me… even if they only show up once i felt like i have known these characters since forever. violet’s journey to understanding what her major meant by the words “i love you” have changed her life and those around her. though, im still wondering what type of “love” major gilbert had for violet…. LOL one thing i really appreciate about this show is the music that is paired beautifully with each and every scene. i recommend checking out the whole album “Violet Evergarden: Automemories” by Evan Call. Every soundtrack got me reminiscing about the scenes where it was played and filled me up with so much emotions. Amazing show overall 👍
