I took this book out of the library to first check it out because I am a minimalist and already have enough books including cookbooks on my shelf. However, I ended up buying my own copy because the book is excellent. It contains well researched health information and covers lots of good topics like controversial kitchen tools and how to overcome hurdles in eating healthy. I like the many suggestions offered that are very doable. A greater part of the book is devoted to yummy recipes that can be followed easily and the health saving tips are beneficial. The quotes scattered throughout the book are a bonus and I like the personal stories that illustrate her points. Lastly, I am impressed with the balanced attitude that Christine shows regarding healthy eating. She talks about being relaxed at events and other people's homes and not becoming obsessed about food choices. Sometimes, it's easy to get caught up and feel nervous about what can be consumed. I have read quite a few other similar books since I try to be health conscious but I like this book the best and would highly recommend it to anyone.
