After reading discouraging reviews by critics and self-appointed experts in "Hillbilly" culture, I was reluctant to watch it. Then, I considered the amassed talent and decided to watch it. From the opening scenes to the very end, i was caught up in the story and mesmerized by the superb acting. I know and have known those people and their culture (as an outsider). It is unusual and they are unusual but they are simple, honest, and straightforward. Everything about the movie was relatable and marvelous to witneess again. For those who call it fantasy, it's based on a true story. Next time, I say, watch the movie before you write a critique. I may watch it again and I recommend it highly as a retrospective of a lifestyle that's all be gone.
