Why does this woman doc have any friends at all? Simply staring at people with a look of horror, blankness or disgust when someone tries to converse with her? (Do people do this in real life - never answer questions, never say goodbye, slipping away from a date or dinner unbeknownst to the other person?) Walking away when someone is in mid-sentence, without an apology or a glance back? Who, when is cheated on (and knowing how much it hurts), turns around and cheats on the husband (philanderer that he is) of her good friend? And why do all these friends keep coming back!?
Even with her son - he repeatedly gives her the clear message that she isn't tending to him enough...not around, not engaged, not speaking to him). Instead of rising to the challenge, she defends herself by telling him she's been an excellent mom? No wonder he does what he does at the very end! Even when she was nice to him after the cheating scandal, it seemed she was often doing it for the wrong reasons - i.e., so she would look like a good mum to her ex.
Doc Foster should have been disbarred from medical practice with her first egregious wrongdoing, never mind the negative reviews online. She's madly obsessed with revenge, emphasis on the "mad." Great actors, poorly written. Strangely, tho...engrossing enough for me to finish watching.
