For the time it was made, it was an amazing film with amazing acting performance.
Today there are plenty of films with similar borrowed stories or special effects, but i saw the Champ around year 1988-89 when i was a kid and i really liked that film as a kid. 2 decades later I saw it as a grown man and still liked it as the first time i saw it.
