I would give the album five stars if it was longer and had more original songs. Aside from those criticisms, Diver Down contains some of Eddie's most innovative guitar work, with Little Guitars being the pinnacle of his performances on this album. The early Van Halen penchant for humor continues to charm, without detracting from the seriously impressive instrumental and vocal execution displayed throughout the tracks. Michael Anthony truly shines on this album, adding flawless vocal harmonies that add an almost angelic dimension to many of the songs.
