Easily top 3 animes of all time for me. Such a fun, thought-provoking, emotional, and action-packed anime. Although I would’ve wanted it to have more seasons, the fact that they did it in one season made me truly appreciate and cherish every episode. I honestly believe that by telling the story in one season, the anime was able to deliver such high quality animation with little to no fillers and literally making every episode count. Hiroyuki Imaishi (creator) is a genius. STRONGLY recommend. Also, if you liked Gurren Lagann,you may want to checkout Cyberpunk: Edgerunner, another anime created by Hiroyuki Imaishi.

Extremely engaging; leaving you with a huge craving for the next episode(s). At times, I honestly forget that I am watching a tv show. That's how good the cast is (in my opinion). I would strongly recommend it to anyone who enjoys drama/crime shows/black stories.

It does a great job of eliciting all sorts of emotions while watching. From joy, peace, and love, to fear, anger, hatred disgust, and finally, back to relief, happiness and love.
