The movie is a good stand alone movie if you havent read the book and just stumbled upon it. As someone that has read the book multiple times the movie misses on major character moments, things that show who the characters really are, the movie skipped out on alot of important things that happened in the book, etc. The movie is disappointing in that aspect but definitely better than other movies like the kissing booth
