In my opinion it’s the worst game in the series. Not a bad story once you get into it, but you are repeating the same things over and over, I.e get the generator running etc. The beginning section where it’s mainly combat sequences and quick time events is more like an interactive movie of call of duty than a dark pictures game. Nothing really scary happens in the game, the creatures are mildly threatening. No sense of dread or tense sequences like in until dawn with the wendigo. The voice acting is ok but it feels forced and it’s obvious where different replies would happen depending on your dialog choices because it freezes frames a little and jumps to the dialog. Also the textures in the graphics keep flickering in and out and sometimes are altogether smooth and blurry. The characters are pretty likeable and the quick time events are good to keep you on your toes but although the story is ok it feels like a repeat of until dawn but nowhere near as well executed. And the more psychological bits with the curator where you answer questions and your answers affect story elements is all gone which is a shame. Worst game in the series :/

This is a good film, it is a slow burn but the characters are likeable and the atmosphere is very tense, kind of making you really wonder what the hell is going on, much like will, the main character. You can pretty much predict the ending but it’s still suspenseful and when everything does come to a head, it’s very satisfying and exciting. Really enjoyed it :)
