Trevor Noah had me in splits for most of his book “Born A Crime”. Having already won my heart via his quick witted television persona, I read the entire book as though he was personally narrating it. He clearly did not have an easy life, even by South African standards, yet he’s mindful of the few instances of privilege that contributed to the success he has today. The most endearing parts are the ones depicting his relationship with his mother. It’s been two days but I still replay parts of the book in my head and feel so much sadness for the little boy that he was.
