Tip Of the Day

Great actors! This movie reminds us that God is real and is watching us, and how believing seems to be the hardest thing to do for a lot of people.

As much as I like this movie, it's the ending that always makes me upset. One is because the poor Merry-Go-Round conductor was shot and killed by the police as they carelessly shot into a crowd of people without thinking about the consequences, especially with children on the ride. Did other people die as the crashing of the merry-go-round was catastrophic and it makes you wonder what happened to everyone, again, especially the kids! Also I wish that we could've seen how Bruno's mother reacted to the news that her son was a murderer.

This movie never gets old and whenever I see it I laugh just as hard as I did the first time I saw it back in 1993. The acting is great and Mike Myers portraying his own father as a loud offensive Scotsman is spot on! The laughter is also wrapped in very tender and loving moments between Mike and Nancy and his parents. It keeps you wondering, "Is she or isn't she...an axe murderer"... and the cute relationship builds as suspicions creep in just makes this all the more entertaining and draws you in. You won't be sorry if you decide to watch it for the first time.

I love this movie! Similar to the parodies of movies like "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka" and " Hollywood Shuffle", this stands the test of time! During a time of social unrest with police brutality and gang violence, this movie really had a deeper message within all of the funny scenes.

I don't know why this movie is rated so poorly but I loved this movie! I think that it was beautifully shot and the actors were great. I watched this as a kid and the tragedy of the Orca witnessing his life-long mate and unborn child being killed helped to propel the storyline where you were rooting for the whale to get his revenge, while at the same time feeling empathetic for the captain who had deep regret and remorse but also the fight to survive the Orca. The beautiful theme song by Ennio Morricone is also so very moving and just sweeping. I loved it!!

This was an outstanding film! Most of the critics I'm sure are narrow-minded and entitled which would explain their bias towards this movie. The narrative helps to break down the class struggles and show that people are people no matter what color they are. If there is a power shift that favors one race above another and systemic controls to keep it that way the outcomes will result in the same no matter the color of someone's skin.
