It is the weirdest way to fail. They made catching pokemon fun again and gathering resources is a very clean feeling mechanic, things in traditional pokemon games that were clumsy and take forever between scenes. But they gutted the battle system and you cant battle your friends??? Once I realized there was no end game that you can show your friends your team the game felt hollow and lifeless, i forcing myself to complete but not without sadness in my heart…
