I thought the story line was different and refreshing.The acting was brilliant by the whole cast. It was disappointing to see the low raring on Rotten Tomatoes.

I read the book and found it tiresome and irritating to finish. When I heard of the movie I was only tempted to watch it because of Olivia Coleman. I am 78 and a book and movie fan. She is to me the best most brilliant actress of this century. Her every gesture, eye blink, tiny movement , sudden glorious smile lights up the darkest screen. The plot was slow and deviously mysterious at times, but the acting by all was grand. Symbolism was a second star. It was steadily slow with purpose….scenery and gorgeous awful men were background for mysterious motivations. The doll , the doll, help me with overdose of symbolism. 67

This was a really terrific movie. Matt Damon was astoundingly great.
